Shoplifters brandished a knife when staff at a 91Ô´´ liquor store tried to intervene on Friday, April 5, 91Ô´´ Mounties say.

The incident took place in the liquor store in the 4000 block of 200th Street in Brookswood, just before 6 p.m., said Sgt. Joe Leeson of the 91Ô´´ RCMP.

Two men entered the store and attempted to steal bottles of high-end liquor.

When staff confronted the suspects, Leeson said one of the men pulled a knife.

The store staff backed off, and no one was hurt.

RCMP are investigating the case and developing suspects, Leeson said. As of Monday morning, no one had been arrested.
