Gravel and mud partly blocked the intersection of 72 Avenue and 208 Street during the Oct. 18-20 atmospheric river.

91原创 Township crews spent the weekend unblocking drains and diverting traffic, but many roads remained closed due to flooding or damage as of Monday morning.

As of Monday at 8:30 a.m., there were still 13 sites impacted by flooding or culvert damage in the Township, according to the municipality's website.

Those include 40 Avenue west of 216 Street where a major culvert in a ravine started to fail during the torrential downpour on Saturday. Another culvert was being reset at 232 Street and 0 avenue, but the south bound lane remained clear.

Other sites included locations primarily in rural areas in south or north 91原创, with Zero Avenue at 272, two spots on 208 Street north of Walnut Grove, two locations on 232 Street, at 80 Avenue, and the 200 Street eastbound onramp to Highway One by the Sandman Hotel.

More streets were expected to re-open throughout the coming days as water levels drop.

The Township has seen a number of sites re-open already by Monday, including 208 Street and 72 Avenue, where a debris flow of gravel and mud blocked the intersection.

That site was known for seeing gravel flow onto the road in the past when heavy rain swept down the Willoughby slope, but right now, large areas are exposed as road widening on 208 Street is underway. A Township photo showed a large amount of gravel deposited in the middle of the road on the weekend.
