Shred some documents by donation at Gordon Greenwood Elementary.
On Saturday, June 3, a mobile shredding company will be on site to shred paper documents for a donation of $5. All proceeds go towards the school鈥檚 parent advisory committee (PAC).
Chelsea Minhas, president of the PAC, said the school relies on its fundraising for equipment like computers and books, as well as field trips or events.
鈥淭his is a great opportunity to shred all those documents taking up space in your home or office that need to be disposed of in a confidential way,鈥 she said.
The suggested donation is a minimum of $5 per box or bag, which Minhas said is a 鈥渟teal鈥 for this kind of service.
The Shred-A-Thon fundraiser is in partnership with Realtor Jennifer Trentadue, who reached out to Minhas to organize the event. Trentadue will be on site to help accept donations and documents for shredding.
Minhas said any support helps, but it would be 鈥渁mazing to reach $1,000.鈥
The shredding truck will be located at the school鈥檚 parking lot at 9175 206th St. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Anyone interested in partnering with Gordon Greenwood鈥檚 PAC for fundraisers or an event is invited to email Minhas at ggepac@hotmail.com.
