Aldergrove resident Isaiah Groom participated in the Aldergrove community garage sale in 2019 out of his family home. Within the first few hours of selling his wares he accumulated over $100 in sales.

Aldergrove will host its sixth annual garage sale in the community on Saturday, July 27.

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., dozens of local homes will have a variety of items and treasures for sale rain or shine.

Last year's sale saw more than 300 people participate in the event to shop, said local realtor Jodi Steeves who organizes the event in collaboration with Lori Neville from Aldergrove Community Awareness.

"It's nice to see the community obtain items they need for their children's sports or gardening, or items for their household, at an affordable price while helping another downsize and organize," Steeves said.

More than 60 households registered for the garage sale last year, and Steeves is hoping for the same or more.

"Garage sales are fun, as you never know what kind of treasures you will find. I love seeing how excited some get while they are shopping."

People can still register their address by contacting Neville at aldergrovegaragesale@gmail.com, and garage sale signs will be delivered on Wednesday, July 24.

Steeves and Neville will be handing out physical maps starting at 8:45 a.m. the day of the garage sale, along with doughnuts, at 27214 Fraser Hwy.

An online map will be released at 8:30 a.m. the same morning on the Aldergrove Community Awareness Facebook group, or can be requested by emailing jodi@jodiandtheteam.com.
