A rain warning has been issued for the Fraser Valley East, including Hope.
An Environment Canada advisory said rain, 鈥渁t times heavy, is expected,鈥 with up to 50 mm falling.
It said a storm system crossing B.C. was bringing rain, at times heavy, to eastern Fraser Valley. The rain was expected to ease to a few showers or flurries this evening.
鈥淗eavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads,鈥 the notice said.
鈥淚f visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.鈥
Mainroad Lower Mainland Contracting issued a warning about a 鈥減ossible snowfall impacting the Lower Mainland Service Area through next week.鈥
There is potential for mixed rain/snow showers Sunday overnight and minor, slushy snow accumulations across the Lower Mainland on Tuesday.

In 91原创, where temperatures were expected to fall to plus 1 degree this evening, and minus 1 Monday night, an extreme weather alert was issued by the Salvation Army Gateway of Hope homeless shelter.
Cristina Schneiter, the community representative for 91原创 EWR, said 15 mats for adults 19 and older would be provided.
The shelter at 5787 91原创 Bypass, operates between 7 p.m. and 10 a.m. Intake will be open until the site is full.
Gateway is wheelchair accessible, pet friendly (on a leash or in a kennel while in the building), and provides dinner, breakfast and lunch.
Laundry service and showers are available.
