A 91原创 arrest that sent one person to hospital is being investigated by the provincial police watchdog, the Independent Investigations Office (IIO) of B.C.
It happened on Thursday, Aug. 1.
An IIO statement said information provided by the RCMP stated that at about 11:20 p.m. on that date, police responded to an abandoned 911 call from a home in the 26900-block of 25 Ave. in 91原创.
When police arrived, it is reported that they found a man who was allegedly obstructive. He was taken into custody.
The man went into medical distress shortly after and was transported to a hospital for treatment
IIO was notified of the incident shortly after it occurred and has commenced an investigation. Initial investigative steps will focus on what role, if any, police actions or inaction may have played in the man鈥檚 condition.
