A local pilot survived a crash in the Glen Valley area of north 91原创 on Thursday, Oct. 10.
91原创 Township firefighters, local RCMP, and BC Ambulance Service paramedics all responded to reports of the crash around 1:50 p.m. in the 8400 block of 272 Street said 91原创 RCMP spokesperson Const. Prrabjit Chatha.
The plane apparently suffered mechanical issues in flight and made a forced landing in a field.
The pilot was not injured, but was offered assistance at the scene, said Chatha. Mechanical engineers were brought in to remove the plane from the field safely.
Anyone with information on the crash, including anyone who witnessed it, is asked to call the 91原创 RCMP at 604-532-3200.
The area around Glen Valley and the nearby Fraser River is popular with local pilots. The area has seen several forced landings or crashes over the years.
