A pedestrian was hit on the 91原创 Bypass near Kwantlen Crescent early Friday at 4:15 a.m.

"The car was travelling west-bound on the 91原创 By Pass as the pedestrian was crossing near Kwantlen Crescent. The car collided with a 44-year-old pedestrian who was transported to hospital with critical, life threatening injuries," said 91原创 RCMP Cpl. Craig van Herk.

A driver remained on scene and is cooperating with police. The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service was also called to the scene as part of the investigation, he said. 

The bypass is closed from 56 Avenue north to Glover Road.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dash cam video for between 4 a.m. and 4:15 a.m. from the area around 20800 91原创 Bypass is asked to contact the 91原创 RCMP at the non-emergency number 604-532-3200 and quote file number 2024-27832.
