One of 22 new DriveBC cameras installed this year is at the 216 Street highway interchange in 91Ô´´.
The Ministry of Transportation announced the new cameras, which bring the total DriveBC camera list to 503 around the province.
The camera on Highway One at 216 Street gives drivers east and west views of traffic conditions.
Many of the cameras give several views from a single position. Those on major highway interchanges in the Lower Mainland offer four-way or two-way views of traffic.
The cameras take snapshots of traffic conditions every few minutes, allowing people to see traffic snarls or weather conditions. They also have a feature allowing drivers to replay the previous day's images to see traffic patterns change at different times.
DriveBC is currently collecting public feedback on its redesigned web portal to replace the existing website next year. The new site will include a simplified map, clearer event notification, new advisory features and better mobile usability.
