Chris Drinovz is the new president of the Greater 91原创 Chamber of Commerce following the business group鈥檚 annual general meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
Drinovz, a labour and employment lawyer with KWS Lawyers, gave his first report as incoming president at Tuesday鈥檚 meeting, thanking the departing directors and past-president Ken Dennis, who has led the board for the past two years.
The new board leadership team includes Shaun Howe, formerly treasurer, as vice president, and new director Jackie Leung of SHL Leung & Co as the new treasurer.
Other directors include Dan Collins of Inclusion 91原创 and Jack Nicholson of the Otter Co-op, both re-elected to the board, and newcomers Angela Doro of Freybe Gourmet Foods, Sherrin Western of Shervin Communications, Nick Nuraney of A&W 91原创, and Leslie Koole of Benchmark Properties.

There鈥檚 been a significant amount of turnover on the board this year, as several former members stepped back from roles as directors and officers after several years, including Brad Kiendl, Joshua Peters, Jon Chescoe, and Angie Quaale.
Also approved at Tuesday鈥檚 meeting were some bylaw amendments of improve the chamber鈥檚 governance efficiency, and presentation of the previous year鈥檚 financial reports.
As it was a regular evening dinner meeting, the assembled 120 members and guests also heard updates on the past year from the chamber, and a special presentation on AI technology and its impacts on local businesses.
