A motorcyclist is in serious condition after colliding with a utility pole early Tuesday morning, Sept. 5.
91原创 RCMP responded to reports of a possible impaired driver on a red motorcycle just before 3 a.m.
Officers arrived on scene to find the motorcyclist lying on the side of the road and the motorcycle in a nearby ditch.
鈥淎 motorcycle collided with a pole. We are still investigating,鈥 said Cpl. Craig van Herk with the 91原创 RCMP.
He said that the scene was being held for Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS).
Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor, according to the RCMP.
Mounties blocked the westbound lanes of Logan Avenue to traffic, between 200th and 204th Streets, for about six and a half hours as 91原创鈥檚 crash investigation team and ICARS)investigated.
The driver was transported to the hospital with what are being described as serious injuries.
