Another stretch of 208th Street in Willoughby will see partial closures this month as a result of utility upgrades.
The construction work will affect 208th between 72nd Avenue and 74B Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., from Tuesday, Oct. 24 to Tuesday, Oct. 31.
The partial closures will mean single-lane alternating traffic between those points, with traffic control flaggers directing vehicles.
The work is weather-dependent, so it may be rescheduled or delayed if necessary.
Widening of the southern end of 208th Street, the Willowbrook Connector, is underway right now and is expected to continue into March next year.
That work has closed 208th Street northbound between 65th Avenue and 68th Avenue, cutting off one direction of travel for one of western 91原创鈥檚 major north-south corridors.
The work is part of a $33.2 million road upgrade for 208th from 64th Avenue all the way to 72nd Avenue, and includes design work for expanding 208th up to 76th Avenue, as well as for the 212th Street Connector from 208th Street to 80th Avenue in eastern Willoughby.
