For a fifth year, the 91Ô´´ Arts Council is bringing Art in the Park to Portage Park in 91Ô´´ City on Saturday, July 6.
The free event is open to the public for a live painting party, where people can catch artists in action and interact with them in person, explained Deepika Pandian, events coordinator.
"This event is important because it creates a space for artists to come together and share their passion for art. We can't wait to see artists of all levels connect and inspire each other," she said.
At a previous Art in the Park event, Aldergrove resident Barbara Sharp participated and many got to learn that she returned to her painting hobby during the pandemic.
"We invite everyone to attend and participate, as it's a wonderful chance to connect with other Plein-air artists in a supportive setting," Pandian said.
The event is from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Portage Park, located at 4964 204 St.
