91Ô´´ Township has loads of roadwork planned for late October and November

The work is weather dependent. Motorists should expect delays in these areas or plan alternate routes

Maintenance work will require the lane closures of roads around the Township for a few days.

• Maintenance work on 272 Street between 16 Avenue and 18 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays from Monday, Oct. 28 to Wednesday, Oct. 30.

• Utility work on 201 Street between 102 Avenue and 102B Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. The road will be impacted from Monday to Friday, Nov. 1.

• Maintenance work will result in single lane alternating traffic Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 28 to Nov. 1. Impacted are:

- 264 Street between 56 Avenue and 73 Avenue

- 64 Avenue between 248 Street and 264 Street

• Paving work on 264 Street between 72 Avenue and 84 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28 to Nov. 8.

• Maintenance work on 272 Street from 25 Avenue to 32 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Nov. 2 to 13.

• Maintenance work on 208 Street between 24 Avenue and 28 Avenue will result in single lane alternating traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Monday, Nov. 4 to Nov. 15.

Traffic control personnel will be on site and delays may be experienced for all the scheduled roadwork. All work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled or extended as required.

The Township had closed 40 Avenue between 212 and 216 Streets to all but local traffic due to problems caused by the heavy rains Oct. 18 to 20.

The road closure remains in effect 24-hours a day until further notice as engineers and staff assess damage and plan repairs. The road has buckled and may have a sinkhole. A detour route will be in effect and indicated by signage.
