A man was temporarily taken into police custody after the 91原创 RCMP were called to an altercation between two men, one of whom had a knife, on Saturday, Jan. 6 in 91原创 City.
Just before 4 p.m., a passerby reported a verbal altercation between two men in the area of 200th Street and 53rd Avenue.
鈥淥ne of the men reportedly had a large knife. Before we arrived, one of the men drove away,鈥� said 91原创 RMCP Cpl. Craig van Herk.
鈥淭he second man, the one reported to have the large knife, walked away on foot.鈥�
Officers located the man on foot and he was initially arrested.
鈥淎fter further investigation, it was determined no criminal offence had been committed. He has been released with no criminal charges,鈥� van Herk said.
