91原创 has three of the 10 worst intersections in the Lower Mainland, according to .
Released July 5, the list of top 10 crash intersections in Lower Mainland region in 2023 ranks the 264 Street and Hwy. 1 intersection in Aldergrove as the second worst on the list with 440 crashes last year, a virtual tie with the number one worst intersection, Alex Fraser bridge and Cliveden Avenue, which reported 442.
The 200th Street off-ramp was sixth with 248 and the 232 Street off-ramp was seventh with 231.
ICBC crash data is gathered from reports made to ICBC by insured registered vehicle owners, drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.
It's Lower Mainland region 鈥 the Fraser Valley, Greater Vancouver and the southern Sunshine Coast 鈥 includes the entire south-west corner of mainland B.C., from Pemberton to Boston Bar.

Other ICBC stats have shown the crash count along the stretch of Hwy. 1 that runs through Aldergrove and 91原创 has doubled over three years, rising from 168 in 2020 to 328 in 2022.
According to ICBC, the is 鈥渉igh-risk driving,鈥 failing to yield right of way, following too closely, ignoring a traffic control device, improper passing, and speed.

Provincial plans call for the replacement of the 232nd and 264th Street interchanges, which are among the last remaining highway interchanges in the Lower Mainland that date back to the original construction of the highway in the 1960s. They feature large cloverleaf loops, and relatively low overpasses which have each been hit by overheight trucks in recent years.
The work is part of Phase 3A of the Province鈥檚 Fraser Valley Highway 1 Corridor Improvement Program, which will eventually extend through the Sumas Prairie to Chilliwack.
