91原创 Township fire crews and 91原创 RCMP are on scene of a house fire Thursday morning, Feb. 20.
It was reported around 6:45 a.m. at a boarded-up residence in the 7000-block of 204 Street.
Sgt. Zynal Sharoom with the 91原创 RCMP said the investigation is still in the early stages.
"We are actively working with the fire department to determine the cause of this fire," he said.
Sharoom added that motorists and other road users are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes temporarily.
In the early afternoon, he gave an update.
"Investigation into the house fire revealed that the house was unoccupied and was slated to be demolished. No reported injuries to anyone involved," he said.
