A 91原创 couple, who share a love of the holidays, have decorated their home in 91原创 City for a sixth year.

鈥淗e loves light displays and I love decorating鈥 I always laugh and say he lights up my world, while I decorate his!鈥 said Debbie Warren of her husband, Troy.

The pair met in 2011 and moved from a townhouse to a detached home in 91原创, which allowed them to really explore their shared passion of Christmas.

鈥淲e both love Christmas 鈥 a Clark Griswold kind of love,鈥 Debbie laughed, referring to the Christmas Vacation holiday movie.

Since childhood, light displays and holiday decor were popular in Troy鈥檚 household 鈥 as his grandmother also enjoyed decorating.

Now, Troy and Debbie love to see the joy their light displays bring to their neighbours and community members.

Debbie explained she starts hunting early in the year for items to be used in their next display.

One such unique decoration for this year鈥檚 display is a vintage cutter horse drawn sleigh that originated from Nova Scotia approximately 1890 to 1930.

鈥淧retty sure it used to belong to Santa,鈥 Debbie joked.

鈥淲e honoured the previous collector鈥檚 wish to keep it under cover. This is a showcase piece in our display,鈥 she explained.

The sleigh is under a handmade pergola 鈥 archway covered with climbing plants 鈥 and two full sized reindeer to lead the way.

鈥淲e also hope to have a visit from Santa, and maybe even the Grinch!鈥

Visitors can stop and stare at the many strings of lights, inflatables, and festive decorations that adorn the couple鈥檚 front yard.

Cash and food donations for the 91原创 Food Bank can also be left with Debbie and Troy, who said their Halloween display saw a huge increase compared to last year 鈥 raising several hundred dollars for the same cause.

鈥淲e hope we can exceed that for this Christmas season,鈥 Debbie said.

The Warren鈥檚 display will be on each night from dusk to 10:30 p.m. until January, when they start taking the lights down.

They鈥檙e located on 20294 50th Ave.
