91原创 Arts Council is hosting a speaker event every Saturday for the month of May in partnership with the Canadian Arts Preservation Foundation.
The next event on Saturday, May 25, will feature architecture with speakers Rainer Fassler, an architect with Arthur Erickson, and Wayne Bissky, artist and architect.
鈥淥ur goal is to showcase the profound legacies of merited Canadian artists and features collected artworks of Canadian artwork, concentrating on notable senior Canadian artists and works of historical interest,鈥 said Deepika Pandian, events coordinator.
The final event on June 1 is all about conservation and Canadian heritage. Speakers from the Burnaby Art Gallery, University of British Columbia and its Museum of Anthropology, and Simon Daniel James 鈥淲inadzi鈥 Carver from the Kwakawakaw Nation.
Events run from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Aldergrove Kinsmen Community Center located at 26770 29 Ave., and are free for all ages.
