Dennis Robinson, director of the Thunderbird Fast Draw Club in 91原创, has been part of the club since 1959 and has been participating "non-stop" ever since.
"[I enjoy] the camaraderie, the folks in this sport are the nicest group of folks anywhere 鈥� and it's a most colourful sport," the 86-year-old said.
This year, members of the club will be at the Aldergrove Fair for a 16th year of fast draw demonstrations.
"Our six-gun salute to 'officially open' the fair has been moved to approximately 11:30 a.m., followed by our celebrity shootout, then continued with out World Fast Draw Championship event," explained Robinson.
The fast draw competition, featuring holsters and six guns, will start at 10 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday, July 20 and 21, and the celebrity edition will take place at noon sharp only on Saturday, July 20.
Fast draw is a competition featuring western-style holsters and single-action six-shooters loaded with blanks. Participants must draw their guns from the holster and fire at random targets before time runs out.
Local politicians, business people, and other prominent 91原创 folks will get to test their speed with a shooting iron in front of the crowds.

The Aldergrove Fair kicks off Friday, July 19, with the traditional Show n' Shine car show, then runs all day the following Saturday and Sunday with entertainment, activities, food, music, and more.
