Equestrian society loses tools, truck to break-in at 91原创 park

A 91原创 equestrian society was the victim of a theft from a barn, with power tools and a pickup truck taken.

The Campbell Valley Equestrian Society was storing the truck and tools in the red barn at the Campbell Valley Regional Park, on the Ananad/Rowlatt Farmstead site.

The break-in took place sometime on the night of Oct. 9 or the early morning of Oct. 10, and was reported to the 91原创 RCMP at 11:10 a.m. on the 10th, said Cpl. Craig van Herk, spokesperson for the 91原创 RCMP.

That day the society posted on Facebook asking people to keep a look out for the vehicle but not approach it.

The 1988 two-toned Ford pickup with a wooden flatbed was recovered on Oct. 11 in Abbotsford, van Herk said.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity around the park on the night o Oct. 9 or early Oct. 10 can call in a tip to the 91原创 RCMP at 604-532-3200, or to leave an anonymous message, call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
