For regulars at Thunderbird Show Park, the Pink Soiree party is not new and is very much looked forward to. 

Tbird has hosted Pink Soirees before but typically only for the Nation's Cup, which happened in May, explained Drew Harkness, brand and guest relations manager. 

"We had such a great response to it and people kept asking about it, so we decided to make it a more permanent feature for our bigger Grand Prix events," she said. 

A Pink Soiree is an elevated experience at tbird during a big show event that includes undercover seating on the east side of the grand prix field, as well as catering and desserts plus alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. 

"We have front row seats available and back row high tops as well," Harkness said. 

Roots Distillery will be onsite and operating the bar too, in addition to beer and wine options. 

The first unique party was held last Sunday, Aug. 11, for the CS13* Steel-Craft Doors Grand Prix, where Ireland's James Chawke won first place aboard Daido Van't Ruytershof Z. 

Harkness said the Pink Soirees will return again next year. 

"We have a concrete slab in the area and purchased the tents and all the decor, so it's definitely something we're going to be doing ongoing," she said. 

She added that the Pink Soiree also provides another option for people who want to come to a show event in big groups or for corporate events. 

"We just don't have enough room in our VIP to be able to set out the tables, so it's been that great intermediary where people can have an elevated experience to watch an event." 

The events, once known as the Ros茅 Party, which sparked the pink theme that was loved by the majority female crowd, Harkness commented. 

"Some people who purchase tickets will actually dress up in the derby hats and that sort of thing like they're going to the races. It's just a fun theme that's a little bit girly, a little bit elevated," she said. 

The next Pink Soiree is Sunday, Aug. 18, for the ATCO Cup.
