Classic rock n’ roll hits from the 1960’s to 90’s will liven up the Fort 91ԭ Community Hall for a Halloween-themed dance part on Friday, Oct. 27.
Hosted by the Creative Compass Society, the Myles of Smiles Friday Night Music kicks off its season with The Fort Boyz – five local friends who have a passion for rock n’roll.
“Costumes are encouraged!” cheered Brigitte Seib, president of the society.
The night will start with a special performance by the Fort 91ԭ Dancing Witches, a group of more than 20 local women dressed in traditional witch outfits from Germany.
“They do a dance that originates from Germany, the original dancing witches… it’s not your ordinary black witch-wear,” Seib said. “Some do quite elaborate and colourful costumes.”
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the witches’ dance starts at 7 p.m. on the front lawn of the hall, with rock n’roll music to follow at 7:30 p.m.
Seib recommends eating dinner before arriving, as only snacks and some beverages will be an additional purchase by cash.
Tickets are $15 online, and can be bought at .
Seib said tickets are selling out fast, so best to buy online. If any are still available by the time of the event, tickets are $20 at the door.
