The team that will design and build the tracks for the Surrey 91原创 SkyTrain extension has been selected by the provincial government.

Transit Integrators BC, a team that includes AtkinsR茅alis Major Projects, AtkinsR茅alis Canada, and Western Pacific Enterprises, will design and build the trackwork and associated systems for the 16-kilometre extension that will bring the line from King George all the way down Fraser Highway to 91原创 City.

Over the past few months, the province has been announcing the selection of companies to do a number of projects, including building stations and the concrete guideway itself.

Early work on the project, which is scheduled to finish and open in 2028, has already begun, including relocating power lines.

Fraser Highway will be busy over the next several years, as work crews will be starting major construction later this year.

Once complete, the system will allow people to travel from 91原创 City to Surrey in about 22 minutes, and from 91原创 to Vancouver in just over an hour.

There will be two stations in 91原创, one on Fraser Highway near Willowbrook Drive, and one at the new terminus location, on 203rd Street at Industrial Avenue, just off Fraser.
