A sentencing hearing for an Aldergrove man who pleaded guilty to a child pornography charge in July has been delayed by more than a month.

Kelly Glen Isbister entered his guilty plea on July 31, at what was expected to be the start of a trial in New Westminster Provincial Court.

He had been facing two charges of possession of child pornography, a charge of importing and distributing child pornography, and a charge of breach of recognizance.

Isbister pleaded guilty to one of the possession charges and the breach of recognizance charge.

Having put an end to the need for a trial, Isbister had been scheduled to face a sentencing hearing as early as Sept. 20.

However, that hearing was delayed. A new hearing has now been scheduled for Nov. 6.

The investigation that led to the charges began in late 2019, with officers from the BC Internet Child Exploitation Unit, the 91原创 RCMP and the Vancouver Police Department cooperating on the case.

The alleged child pornography offences took place in 91原创, Vancouver, and Surrey, according to court records.

Isbister previously spent three years in prison after he was convicted of sexual touching in 2014.

He victimized three boys, each 14 at the time of the attacks, plying them with alcohol, drugs, and cash before coercing them into sexual activity. He photographed at least two of the incidents.
