A homeless man who died in hospital after he was hit by a train while walking on the tracks at Tuesday night in 91原创 has been identified as a 42-year-old from 91原创.
91原创 RCMP did not release the man鈥檚 name because next of kin have yet to be located.
The victim was walking southwest on the railway tracks around 8:30 p.m. when he was hit.
The man appeared to be wearing headphones and likely did not hear the train approaching, RCMP said.
The crew of the train sounded the horn and attempted to stop the locomotive, but the male was struck from behind.
Emergency crews responded to find the victim suffering life-threatening injuries.
CPR was performed and the patient was rushed to hospital in grave condition where he succumbed to his injuries early Wednesday morning.
