Aldergrove zoo introduces new electric carts for visitors

Train is also up and running again after small fire in May

There is a new way to get around and explore the local zoo in Aldergrove.

The Greater Vancouver Zoo has released their Critter Cruisers, an electric cart available for rental at Guest Services to get around the zoo.

Kids must be 42 inches tall to ride the carts, and drivers must have a class five driver's license to be eligible to rent them.

"These charming, animal-themed electric carts offer guests a new and unique way to explore the zoo," said Joshua Banta, marketing supervisor.

The Safari Express train is also up and running again after three months of repairs due to a small fire that had broken out in May.

But, thanks to the quick response of zoo staff, damage was minimal and the fire didn't spread.
