An online rumour about up to three escaped tigers were wandering around 264 Street near the Greater Vancouver Zoo in Aldergrove.

While there may be some natural wildlife, the zoo told The Star that any wildlife in the area is not one of theirs.

"It could be a natural cougar in the area, but all ours are accounted for... We have one tiger, and it's been here all day," a zoo representative said.

91Ô´´ RCMP also had no reports of any tigers or other wild cats or of any collision in that area, confirmed Cpl. Craig van Herk.

Some commenters suggested it was a cougar or puma, but if some wild cats were in the area, they are just that â€” wild.
