For a second year in a row, the Aldergrove Groove and Grub event is returning to the plaza on Saturday, Aug. 24.
The event will feature live music, a food truck and local vendors like Brick Alley Bistro with a macaroni bar and Veronica's Perogies, beer garden, photo booth, yard games, and a silent auction.
Entry is by donation, with all proceeds going towards the Aldergrove Food Bank, Aldergrove Starfish Backpack program, and Aldergrove legion, said Jodi Steeves, organizer of the event.
"[The] goal is to offer a fun community event bringing everyone together," she said.
The goal is to raise $3,000 after expenses for the local charities.
This year, all ages are welcome, but ID will be checked at the entrance for alcohol purchases.
The event runs from 6 to 10:30 p.m. at the Aldergrove Plaza on 272 Street and Fraser Highway.
Last year, just under $2,000 was raised.
