A 91原创 man is facing weapons charges after a Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) investigation and a raid on his home that turned up 3D-printed pistols and gun parts.

The investigation began back in December 2022, after the CBSA intercepted a shipment, at the Vancouver International Mail Centre, addressed to the local man containing gun parts.

According to a statement by the CBSA, the 91原创 man was also suspected of receiving packages containing other gun parts earlier that year. The components shipped by mail can be incorporated into partly 3D-printed pistols.

CBSA's Pacific Regional Criminal Investigations Section led an investigation that led to a June 20, 2023 raid with the Lower Mainland Emergency Response Team.

That raid turned up a loaded 3D-printed Glock 19mm semiautomatic pistol, two 3D-printed lower receivers, completion kits for Polymer 80 firearms, a suppressor, and a 3D printer, all of which were seized.

On June 19, almost a year after the initial raid, Brodie Alexander McDonald was charged with weapons trafficking, possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a prohibited device, and possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition.

鈥淭he Canada Border Services Agency is committed to intercepting the importation of parts used for the production of prohibited guns," said CBSA regional director general Nina Patel. "We work hard to keep Canadians safe and investigate and prosecute those who break Canada鈥檚 laws.
