How about a little Mozart and Beethoven on a Sunday afternoon?

Sounds like a nice escape.

Well this one is being brought to 91原创 by a half dozen members of the 91原创 Community Music School (LCMS) faculty during the Concerts Cafe Classico Series this weekend.

The lineup of musicians include Laura Chenail-Hough and Monika Niedzielko on violin, Judy Lou on cello, Geronimo Mendoza on oboe, and Alan Crane and Holly Duff on piano.

And these artists will perform a "beautiful and elegant program" with works by Beethoven and Mozart, as well as Reinecke, Moszkowski and Dvorak in a variety of combinations for violin, cello, oboe, bass trombone, and piano, said fellow pianist and LCMS artistic director of concerts Elizabeth Bergmann.

鈥淚 invite everyone to join us and help us launch the holiday season with a warm and wonderful afternoon of gorgeous music.鈥�

The Sunday, Dec. 1 concert will be held in in the Rose Gellert Concert Hall starting at 2:30 p.m. with an "informal and entertaining" pre-concert conversation with the musicians, said Bergmann, who will serve as host.

Then, there will be a short break with complimentary coffee, tea, and refreshments before the performance at 3:15 p.m.

Concerts Cafe Classico tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors, and $10 for students and are available from the LCMS box office at 604-534-2848 or online at Eventbrite.

Other upcoming concerts at LCMS include percussionist Katie Rife on Jan. 26, the Rose Gellert String Quartet on Feb. 21, Jane Coop on piano and Henry Shapard on cello on March 1, David Lakirovich on violin and Sunny Qu on piano on March 9; Quartetto Gelato on April 12, Jasper Wood, Joseph Elworthy, and the Bergmann Piano Duo on May 3, and Paolo Bortolussi on flute and Dr. Corey Hamm on piano on May 25.
