Former The Bachelorette contestant and host of Off the Vine Podcast will share stories of life, love, business and staying true to herself at a new women鈥檚 event in 91原创.
Unapologetically Her, the brainchild of 91原创 entrepreneurs Megan Parker and Anna Mullens, is a multifaceted f锚te that combines all things women love 鈥� shopping, eating, dancing, networking, coaching, and of course, wine.
Taking place March 9 from 3 p.m. to midnight at Cascades Casino in 91原创 City 鈥� the same weekend as International Women鈥檚 Day 鈥� Unapologetically Her aims to empower and connect women.
鈥淚 wanted to do something related to women, and I also wanted to do something related to connection. I think in this day in age we feel we are more connected through things like Facebook and Instagram and Snapchat, but we鈥檙e actually quite disconnected from each other on a fundamental level,鈥� said Mullens, a instructor and founder of wellness business .
鈥淢y goal is to have people standing next to other people, having conversations, and to create a space where there is a little bit of mind, body and soul, a little bit of business, and a little bit of champagne.鈥�
The event begins at 3 p.m. with a wine reception, live band, and shopping strip of local, female vendors chosen by Parker, who is founder of store and group.
鈥淚 try to do all of my events surrounding and supporting local 鈥� that鈥檚 something really big,鈥� Parker said.
鈥淵ou鈥檙e supporting someone in your own community. Once you get to know the people behind the brands (you realize) 鈥極h, I鈥檓 helping put food on that person鈥檚 table.鈥欌��
Next comes the sit down portion of the evening, complete with dinner, keynote talks and a coaching panel, hosted by Kamloops broadcaster Katie Neustaeter and women鈥檚 coach Adera Angelucci.
The speakers include Mullens, who will share insights on connection, followed by , a Vancouver dietician who will speak on women and their relationship with food, and , a business coach and owner of Love Your Mondays, who will speak on finding work with purpose.
Next, Bristowe will come on stage for a Q&A-style girl talk session with the audience, and the night will end with a dance party until midnight.
鈥淭he theory of telling our stories and learning from our own journeys and sharing that wisdom is something that dates back thousands of years,鈥� Mullens said.
鈥淎nd in this modern day where we鈥檙e facing these disconnections, and we see some version of somebody on Instagram or some version of somebody on Facebook, it鈥檚 so crucial to speak to women on more of a heart and soul level.
鈥淲omen coming together can do anything, and if we鈥檙e sharing our raw truth and we鈥檙e sharing our stories 鈥� that鈥檚 where the magic happens and that鈥檚 where the power is.鈥�
