ALDERGROVE
Boo at the Zoo
Where: Greater Vancouver Zoo, 5048 264 St.
When: Oct. 20 to 31
Join the Greater Vancouver Zoo as they celebrate Halloween with many family friendly events. The Haunted Tunnel will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 21, 22, 28, 29 and 31, or head over to the info booth for pumpkin decorating between 10 and 11:30 a.m. Oct. 23-27. A night walking safari is on at 5:50 and 7 p.m. Oct. 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29. And on Halloween, come to the zoo at 11:30 a.m. or 2 p.m. for a great pumpkin smash. More details available at .
BROOKSWOOD
Haunted Graveyard

When: Oct. 24 to 31, 5 to 9 p.m.
The Steger family is once again transforming their front yard into a haunted graveyard filled with many ghostly creatures. Admission is free, but participants are asked to bring a non-perishable item to be donated to Sources 91原创 food Bank. Read the 91原创 Times interview with the family .
Halloween Family Fun Event
Where: George Preston Recreation Centre, 20699 42 Ave.
When: Oct. 29, 2 to 4 p.m.
The Township of 91原创 is once again hosting a family fun day for Halloween. Dress up in costumes and enjoy craft making, cookie decorating, story time and more. A second event is also being held in Walnut Grove. Register in advance at using barcode 527468. Admission is $2.
MURRAYVILLE
Brinkworth Dungeon
Where: 22260 48 Ave.
When: Oct. 13 to 31, Monday through Thursday, 7 to 10 p.m.; Fridays and Saturdays, 8 to 11 p.m.
For the third year in a row, Murrayville鈥檚 Brinkworth Dungeon, known by many locals as the 鈥渟pider house,鈥 will be opening its doors on Friday, Oct. 13. Created by Barry and Tammy Brinkworth, the 3,500 square foot mansion of monsters features realistic wax figures from many famous horror films. New this year, are 鈥淭rapped and Terrified Nights鈥 on Fridays and Saturdays, where participants are challenged to make it through the entire house alone. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children. FORT LANGLEY
Kids鈥 Fort 91原创 Halloween
Where: Fort 91原创 National Historic Site, 23433 Mavis Ave.
When: Oct. 29, noon to 5 p.m.
Parents looking for a fun, safe and not-too-scary event to showcase their family鈥檚 costumes are welcome to attend the Kids鈥 Fort 91原创 Halloween. Visit the Fort 91原创 National Historic Site for trick-or-treating, ghost stories around the fire and a Creepy Critters show with Mike鈥檚 Critters. And, for this year only, the event is free in honour of the 150th anniversary of the confederation of Canada. More details are available .
Ghosts, Goblins & Ghouls: A Halloween Fun Fest
Where: 91原创 Centennial Museum, 9135 King St.
When: Oct. 28 10 a.m. to noon; 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Calling all ghosts, goblins and ghouls. Dress up early and join the 91原创 Centennial Museum for a day of family friendly activities. Trick-or-Treat

Pirates of Yorkson

Ahoy mateys, the Flying Dutchman has once again docked in Willoughby, but this year the ship is sinking! Pirates of Yorkson, a Halloween favourite, is returning to provide 91原创 families with some buccaneer fun. Donations will also be collected for Canuck Place Children鈥檚 Hospice. R.E. Mountain鈥檚 Spooktacular
Where: R.E. Mountain, 7755 202A St.
When: Oct. 30, 4:30 to 7 p.m.
Students at R.E. Mountain will be handing out candy at classroom doors so that younger kids can trick or treat in the school. There will also be mini games, face painting, cookie decoration and a haunted hallway. Admission is by donation, with proceeds going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
WALNUT GROVE
Halloween Family Fun Event
Where: West 91原创 Hall, 9400 208 St.
When: Oct. 29, 10 a.m. to noon

Potter鈥檚 House of Horrors

Two haunted houses with twice the terror and twice the fun. Potter鈥檚 House of Horrors features the Monstrosity and the Devil鈥檚 Descent.
