The 30th annual got underway under overcast skies in 91原创 City Sunday morning.
More than 30 teams were competing for top grilling honours in the two-day event held outdoors at the Cascades Casino, Hotel and Convention Centre.
Teams with colourful names like 鈥淒ances With Smoke,鈥� 鈥淧orkaholics,鈥� 鈥淔ahrenheit 250,鈥� and 鈥淔laming Seahorses鈥� were vying for over $15,000 in cash and prizes at the event, the largest barbecue contest in Western Canada.
The festival raises money for The BC Professional Fire Fighters Burn Fund.
Over $35,000 has been raised for the charity over the past few years by selling wristbands that allow visitors to taste the entries for a suggested donation of $5.
