Kensington Prairie Farm is holding their annual Alpacas & Artisans Holiday Sale on Dec. 2 and 3 at their alpaca farm in 91原创.
The event is free to the public, and donations will be collected for Quechua Benefit, a charity in Peru that delivers medical care, warm clothing, shelter, food, and services to people in need, particularly children.
Kensington Prairie currently has 55 alpacas, and the youngest 鈥 born in August 鈥 can often be seen playing with her four cria friends. Fibre shorn from Kensington Prairie alpacas this past spring has been transformed into hand knitting yarn, hand-knitted socks, scarves and throws.
鈥淏ring the whole family to meet our newest alpacas born this summer,鈥 said Kensington Prairie Farm proprietor Catherine Simpson. 鈥淟earn about the noble alpaca fibre and what it can be used for.鈥
The holiday event will feature local guest artisans Beelites, Cards by Katelyn, Flying Leaf Tea Company, Glowing Positively, Offbeat Concrete and Be Oilthentic.
The sale is on from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Kensignton Prairie Farm is located at 1736 248 St.
