Editor: It was with interest that I read the letter Mr. Dallas wrote to your paper condemning your advertising policies. His fear, however, and thus his condemnation, is based on his ignorance of our firearms laws and how firearms are used in Canada.

Editor: I am writing regarding Martin Lylyk鈥檚 recent lette r suggesting people do their own research on the 216 Street interchange, specifically the comment, 鈥渃laims about pollution ring hollow to me.鈥�

Editor: I just received my Aug. 16 91原创 Times and was very disappointed to see the full page ad on the back page. It was a Wanstalls advertisement for firearms with most of them being assault rifles or at least styled after them, while they may not be full automatic the very fact that people in our society feel a need to own these types of weapons is disturbing.

Editor: Thank goodness our provincial government has decided to re-open the doors for the many people in our province who need a bit more education to be able to get a job, get off welfare, and contribute positively to our economy and our communities.

Editor: As a business lawyer and corporate counsel for hundreds of incorporated small businesses in 91原创, I am deeply concerned about the recent disastrous and foolhardy proposal by Finance Minister Bill Morneau to eliminate income splitting in private corporations.

Editor: The opinion sounded in your paper (the Times , Aug. 11) regarding the shocking waste of fresh foods in our province is right on.

Many people want to use Penzer Park so safety is key.
