Re: [An eight-year search for the truth, www.langleyadvancetimes.com, Sept. 22]

We have been reading the Advance Times ever since we moved out to 91原创 three years ago. We鈥檝e enjoyed the interesting and comprehensive articles and, of course, the letters to the editor.

But, we have yet to see a letter that thanks the paper for all it does to keep our community together.

With too many local newspapers folding the past few years and with social media that encourages isolation, we often wonder how people nowadays learns about their neighbours.

We are lucky to be able to do that here; to be reminded how much we really do have in common.

Not only do the excellent journalists, like Dan Ferguson and Kyler Emerson, etc., keep us informed about current activities, we have Matthew Claxton to thank for in-depth, insightful, and thought-provoking articles on a myriad of topics.

We appreciate, too, that he often provides the history or background for local concerns so we feel caught up and part of the town. So, to 91原创 Advance Times, we thank you all.
