Some of the world's most popular improv comics are coming to Abbotsford next summer.

Whose Live Anyway? is set take over the Abbotsford Centre on June 20.

The event will feature stars of the long-running show including: Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis, Ryan Stiles and Joel Murray. The music of Laura Hall will also be featured on the show.

The live show is an off-shoot of the popular program Whose Line Is It Anyway?, which was originally developed in the United Kingdom and debuted in North America in 1998. The show has been on a variety of different networks in Canada and the United States and recently launched season 21 on Sept. 6.

The four performers are tasked to create characters, songs and scenes based on suggestions from the host or the audience. The host also keeps track of points for each performer, but those scores serve no practical purpose. It's expected that the live show will follow a similar format.

Stiles, who grew up in the Vancouver area, is an original cast member of the American version of the show. He also appeared on all seasons of the UK version. He earned an Emmy Award nomination in 2002 for his work on the show.

Proops appeared on all nine seasons of the UK version of the show and much of the American run. He's also known as the voice of Bob the Builder.

Davis has appeared on the majority of the seasons for the American version of the show, while Murray has been a part of the live show since 2014.

Other B.C. dates for the tour include: Victoria (Jan. 16 and 17) and Penticton (June 21).
