The father of Surrey's Tori Dunn is planning a protest outside B.C. Supreme Court in New Westminster Friday (March 21).
Aron Dunn is asking friends, family and supporters to be at the courthouse located at 651 Carnarvon St. by 9 a.m. to "protest against the corruption and injustice which supports the murder of our women and girls."
He said he will be there with 'Justice for Tori' signs rallying against what he calls "the failed justice system that killed" his daughter. He expects around 60 people there.
Tori, 30, was found with life-threatening injuries in her home in Port Kells on June 16, 2024. She later died in hospital.
Adam Mann was charged with second-degree murder on June 28, 2024 in connection to Tori's death. Mann is currently in court on three unrelated charges, not including the murder. None of these charges have been proven in court, and a publication ban currently covers the details of these charges.
He is scheduled to appear in New Westminster Supreme Court (likely by video) Friday morning for an application hearing.
Dunn was the owner of a local landscaping business, Dunn Right Landscaping, whose family described her as a 鈥渨arm-hearted鈥 person who was loved by all. Dunn's family created a Facebook group, , where people can be updated and share their journey "in seeking justice for Tori," reads the group description.
