Several of the Vancouver Canucks top stars are scheduled to play in Abbotsford tomorrow.

(Sept. 25) as the Canucks host the Calgary Flames in NHL preseason action.

Norris Trophy winner Quinn Hughes, Calder Trophy winner Elias Pettersson, free agent signing Jake DeBrusk, first round draft pick Jonathan Lekkerimaki. defenceman Tyler Myers, AHL all-star Arshdeep Bains and rearguard Carson Soucy have all been announced as in action for the game.

Ticket sales for the game have also picked up, with few remaining as of Tuesday morning. The Canucks revealed the news about the players dressing and lowered the price of tickets for the game after ticket availability was still high as of last week.

The Canucks have also announced that a series of player arrivals will occur outside Gate 1 of the Abbotsford Centre tomorrow from 4:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The team has not revealed player availability for this free event. Last year saw players spend time taking pictures and signing autographs for fans outside of Gate 1.

The Abbotsford game will honour Truth and Reconciliation Day, with a pre-game ceremony including participation from the Sumas and Matsqui First Nations, a Coast Salish prayer song and a traditional dance.

The NHL preseason schedule opened on Saturday (Sept. 21) and the Flames opened with a 6-1 win over the Seattle Kraken on Sunday (Sept. 22). They also posted a 6-3 win over the Edmonton Oilers on Monday (Sept. 23). Vancouver begins the preseason tonight (Sept. 24) against the Kraken.

Vancouver and the Kraken play again in Seattle on Friday (Sept. 27) and the club then heads to Calgary to take on the Flames on Saturday (Sept. 28). They close the preseason with a home-and-home against Edmonton on Sept. 30 and Oct. 4.

The Canucks open the regular season by hosting the Flames on Oct. 9.
