Motorcycle crash in Surrey Tuesday night sends one to hospital

Collision occurred around 10:40 p.m. in Cedar Hills neighbourhood

One person was taken to hospital after a crash between a motorcycle and a vehicle in Surrey Tuesday night (Aug. 20).

Shortly before 11 p.m., Surrey RCMP, paramedics and firefighters responded to the collision in the 9600-block of 127 Street.

The crash caused significant damage to the motorcycle and the passenger door of the car involved.

Paramedics and firefighters treated the motorcycle rider, who was then transported to hospital with "serious but non-life threatening injuries," Surrey RCMP Cpl. Sarbjit Sangha said in an email.

The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and was co-operative.

RCMP are investigating to determine the cause of collision.
