This debate never seems to end.
Except, I see you where the mayor and a couple of councillors suspended presentations from the public at a recent meeting, saying that it was a done deal no need to hear any further from the people that elected us鈥�
That, in itself, I find very dismaying and a precursor of how I will vote in the next Township election.
What I really don鈥檛 understand is what the purpose behind this interchange at that location might be?
To my mind it seems like the issue is a giant hand on its edge facing north and south poised two sweep the boundary of the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) far to the east and open it to another Willoughby or Gloucester Estates type development.
Secondly, and for the life of me I cannot fathom why, the 192nd Street interchange feeding directly into the heart of Port Kells 鈥� where the truckers want to go 鈥� is not developed into a full-on interchange. It鈥檚 already half built and as I say straight to the industrial heart of Port Kells.
Apart from my fear regarding the disruption of the ALR, I cannot understand in all common sense why the corporate users of this proposed 216th Street interchange favour it over 192nd?
