I would like to comment on the statement made by Kurt Stoll in Matthew Claxton鈥檚 article.
According to Mr. Stoll he would like to dump all of his problems regarding the designated truck road over to Telegraph Trail, which leads to Glover Road.
I would like to think that he鈥檚 referring to the Telegraph Trail in Forest Hills. For the past 20 years, we on Telegraph Trail have already put up with the drivers from Walnut Grove and Forest Hills, not to mention the Trinity Western students who rent rooms in your area. They use Telegraph Trail as their own personal race track.
And, by the way, to remind Mr. Stoll, Telegraph Trail is not a designated truck road, notwithstanding that we do see many trucks on a daily basis using the road and we don鈥檛 whine and complain about it.
I would also like to remind him that the trucking business is the lifeline of our economy. Also, these truckers have spent hundreds and thousands of dollars on their vehicles 鈥� to serve you, Mr. Stoll.
It has taken many, many trucks to build Walnut Grove, including Forest Hills, and we didn鈥檛 organize demonstrations and harass people to get our way.
I鈥檓 sure you realize that the present roads are not up to the standards for today鈥檚 traffic volume. Now that you have settled in you cannot close the door to the future. That is what鈥檚 called evolution.
