A Ford F-150 truck crashed into a horse that ran onto the road in Mission on Wednesday afternoon (July 10).
Mission RCMP say the collision occurred shortly after 3 p.m. on Dewdney Trunk Road near Rolley Lake Street.
A horse from a property in the area ran through a fence and onto the roadway, directly into the path of the oncoming pickup truck.
"The impact caused serious injuries to the horse, and it had to be put down at the scene," Mission RCMP said.
The driver sustained minor injuries in the collision after airbags were triggered. Paramedics treated the man on scene and he was released.
Police say no further investigation is ongoing.
