The Vancouver Canucks will return to the Abbotsford Centre for a preseason game on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
Vancouver will host the Calgary Flames and it marks the fourth straight year that an NHL preseason game is played in Abbotsford.

The Abbotsford game will be the second on the preseason docket for Vancouver, as they open at Rogers Arena against the Seattle Kraken on Sept. 24.
The Canucks then travel to Seattle to take on the Kraken on Sept. 27, head to Calgary for a rematch with the Flames on Sept. 28, battle the Western Conference champion Edmonton Oilers in the Alberta capital on Sept. 30 and close out the exhibition schedule against the Oilers in Vancouver on Oct. 4.
The AC hosted the Canucks vs. the Kraken on Oct. 4, 2023 and lost 2-1. Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers came to town to take on Vancouver on Oct. 5, 2022, with the Canucks posting a 5-4 win. The AC also welcomed the Flames vs. Canucks on Sept. 27, 2021, with Vancouver posting a 3-1 win.
Vancouver began the run of pre-season games in Abbotsford with a 6-4 win over the Ottawa Senators on Sept. 23, 2019.
The next big event on the schedule for the team is free agency on July 1 and then a summer development camp for prospects set for UBC from July 1 to 4. The Young Stars Classic event, which also features the Winnipeg Jets, Flames and Oilers, is set for Penticton from Sept. 13 to 16.
In other Canucks news, the club re-signed forward Linus Karlsson and defenceman Cole McWard to one-year, two-way contracts on Thursday (June 20). Both players spent the majority of last season with the Abbotsford Canucks, but it's possible they could make Vancouver's roster this fall.
The Abbotsford Canucks also announced the re-signing of goalie Jonathan Lemieux on Thursday. Lemieux spent the entirety of last season with the Kalamazoo Wings 鈥� the organization's ECHL affiliate. He was recalled to Abbtosford for the Calder Cup playoffs and dressed as the team's back-up goalie.
