Can a 91原创 Peewee hockey team snag the Good Deeds Cup this year?
Last year the 91原创 Eagles made it to the semi-finals of the Chevrolet Good Deeds Cup, a prize handed out for the Peewee Team that most demonstrates good deeds within their community.
The Eagles did deeds such as massive trash cleanups. They also managed to find time to win silver at the provincials in their A3 level.
After winning the Good Deeds regional level, the Eagles were given a cheque for $7,000, which the team turned over to REC for Kids, a non-profit that provides reconditioned sports equipment to children in need.
The Eagles also donated enough equipment and bicycles to REC for Kids to fill a 15-passenger van.
This year, each semi-finalist in the Good Deeds Cup will receive $2,000 for the charity of their choice and Hockey Canada/Chevrolet branded team equipment.
Three finalists will receive $5,000 for the charity of their choice.
The winning Canadian team will take the cup, be featured on Sportsnet, and receive $15,000 for charity.
