She started soccer in Grade 6, the same time she started track. Scoring her first point in her very first game, she鈥檚 never looking back.

鈥淥ne of my friends got me into it, and said I should try out. So, I was 鈥榣ike why not,鈥 cause I always had a passion for soccer,鈥 Brooke shared with the 91原创 Advance.

鈥淚鈥檝e always kinda did soccer for fun, because track is what I always loved more, but [I] ended up taking it very serious when it came down to the game or practices,鈥 she added. 鈥淪o, getting this recognition and award was a great deal for me.鈥

Brooke will receive the award on June 10, during an awards and scholarship luncheon in Burnaby.
