In just a few short hours, autographed Don Cherry themed jerseys will go on the auction block.
Vancouver Giants are once again hosting a special tribute to the 84-year-old retired hockey player this weekend, and in doing so promoting organ donation.
The team holds a series of special charity and community outreach nights throughout the season.
During Saturday night鈥檚 game at the 91原创 Events Centre, the G-Men will host their Western Hockey League (WHL) Suit Up with Don Cherry.
Players will actually wear the special commemorative jerseys during the game against the Tri-City Americans on Oct. 7.
Those jerseys will then be autographed and made available through the that begins at 3 p.m. today (Tuesday, Oct. 3) and closes noon on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
All proceeds from the auction will be going to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
Additionally, all Giants season ticket holders in attendance at Saturday night鈥檚 game will receive a limited edition Don Cherry bobblehead, said Giants senior vice-president Dale Saip.

Last year鈥檚 Don Cherry night raised more than $12,000 and organizers are hoping to top that, this time around.
