Abbotsford's Brodeur's Bistro closing on July 7

Brodeur's new home will now be in 91原创, Abbotsford location closing on July 7

Brodeur's Bistro is closing its Abbotsford location.

The Abbotsford News received confirmation of the decision to close, with management stating the final day is set for Sunday, July 7. The new 91原创 location is set to open later on in July.

News of the closure was initially posted on the Lower Mainland Eats Facebook group on Wednesday (June 13).

Brodeur's has operated out of 3550 Mount Lehman Rd. since 2013 and specializes in Cajun and Montreal-inspired cuisine.

The restaurant is one of the most-reviewed local establishments on Google, with 4,269 diners rating it a 4.6 out of 5. It is also one of the top-rated Abbotsford restaurants on TripAdvisor.

Brodeur's did reveal plans to expand to 91原创 last year, and the original plan was to operate both locations. However, management stated that several factors led to a change in that plan. They indicated that the parking situation at the Abbotsford location wasn't ideal and that they may have simply outgrown the size of what they had in Abbotsford.

When Broduer's initially opened it was planned to be more of a quick service or fast dining experience, but over the years that changed. Management stated that the 91原创 location offers more space and the ability to provide a better experience for diners.

Staff at the Abbotsford location are welcome to join the team in 91原创, but management noted that the new arrangement likely won't work for everyone. Workers reside from communities all over the Fraser Valley, but some will choose not to take the journey west.

The new location is in the Willoughby neighbourhood at 204th Street and 86th Avenue. The menu will be identical to what has been offered in Abbotsford, but with some minor changes and seasonal offerings.
