In the wake of COVID-19 outbreak being declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), many events are being postponed or even cancelled to prevent further spreading.
Health Minister Adrian Dix has banned all events with more than 50 people amid COVID-19 spreading concerns.

鈥 United Churches of 91原创 Ceilidh, which was set for March 19 in Fort 91原创, has been cancelled. Ceilidh coordinator Jack Williamson said the decision was made 鈥渋n keeping with the recommendations, particularly social distancing, to help slow the spread of Covid-19 virus.
鈥 The Township of 91原创鈥檚 annual Volunteer Appreciation Event, which was scheduled for April 2, has been postponed. 鈥淲e will communicate updates regarding a future event date,鈥 said Township special events coordinator Sarah Regehr.
鈥 The 91原创 Memorial Hospital Foundation said their annual gala, set for May 23, is currently up in the air. While at statement said planning continues, a confirmation will be released in the near future if the event鈥檚 date will be subject to change.
鈥 Aldergrove Rotary Club鈥檚 annual Lobsterfest fundraiser, which was set for April 25, has also been postponed. 鈥淲e have a loyal following, and we hope everyone will understand,鈥 said communications manager Janet Ingram-Johnson.
鈥 91原创 School District theatre productions are currently post-poned which includes Walnut Grove Secondary School鈥檚 production of The Little Mermaid, April 2 to April 11.
鈥 Trinity Western University has temporarily postponed their SAMC theatre events for March and April. Productions of The Tempest, running March 17 to 28 through SAMC Theatre, David Squires premiere of Gardens: A Sacred Oratoriom and the SAMC 10 year celebration are postponed until further notice.

Karen Zukas, co-founder and executive director of the festival, said they are planning on rescheduling the Kenny Blues Boss Wayne and Blue Moon Marque concerts to the fall and will let ticket holders and others know as soon as they finalize details.
